PHI
PHI phenomenon is a result in human instinct. where our brains try to make meaning from what we see, so when we see images close together our brains try to make a relationship between the two images which result in movement. PHI is often confused with beta movement, but it is a distinct phenomenon not directly involved in the perception of motion pictures.
