pixilation animation

Pixilation is where live actors are used as a frame - by frame subject in an animated film. they repeatedly pose while one or more frames are being taken then u change pose as the next set of frames being taken. this technique is usually used to blend in live actors and animated characters.

the disadvantages of using pixilation animation is that when using live actors you have to make sure the last position u finished in is the first position u start with because if you don't you could mess it up also your shadows won't look the same, also because the process is long to make.
The advantages that i found were that you can literally make the actors do most things.

I have watched leap of  faith by the band i thought this video was interesting because the video was  created by using objects as wel as using live actors. I think the "human skate board" one is better because I thought it was more creative, in the sense they used a human as an object.

Out of  pixilation animation and object animation i think that object animation is more creative because you can make an object be any thing you want, but with pixilation animation i think that you are limted to the things you can make a human do or be.

  1. Good work. Make sure you have a post for each of the different animation techniques we have looked at. Check it against the checklist on www.newmediateacher.blogspot.com. In addition you need to expand your analysis of each of the animation techniques to include the development of animation and also to critically evaluate each techniques against another. Good start. At the moment your work is a PASS grade.
